Commonplace doesn't mean 'Acceptable'.
I am sure every woman & man has an account.
–A moment where an unwanted look, unwelcomed speech, undesired physical contact &/or an unsolicited suggestion has occurred. We are talking about sexual harassment. It doesn’t help that we live in a God-less society where reverence for hedonism (which is: the pursuit of pleasure; sensual self-indulgence) HAS REPLACED God’s rightful Place in the hearts of mankind. Tactlessness (indiscretion, thoughtlessness, inconsideration) has now become people’s god. The problem: → there is a loss of appropriate self-value. Philippians 2:3 (NIV) says that we are to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Instead, we should humbly esteem & value others above ourselves. It’s time to ELEVATE what we approve…as self-management (our thoughts, things we look at, things we say, activities we participate in). Only after elevation in self-value can we begin to have a ‘chance’ at treating someone ELSE with dignity & respect.
