During this time of year where people are focused on turkeys, travel & trees, there's a group of people that are being overlooked. It's an unorganized, secret society:
...those who mourn.
Not everyone is excited; sometimes lights, music & events are painful reminders of: someone who is loved, not being present & accounted for.
Those who mourn may feel alone, sad, confused or lost. As people drink hot chocolate or egg nog, while they cuddle, cook or wrap gifts, some are secretly screaming; silently suffering; wanting this season to race by.
If you are a silent sufferer, please know God cares. Even if you blame God, He still cares. Somethings are unexplainable. Somethings, we can't take back or change. Know this: even in your fury or frustration, God is strong enough for you to lean on Him. Even if we don't understand the 'why'...God DOES care.
Take your 'true' feelings to Him. If you talk to Him in faith, He will answer you via His Holy Spirit. With God's Presence...you, are not alone. (Matthew 5:4) (2 Corinthians 12:9) (Psalm 34:18)
